4 out of 5 stars Handy, good price but small   July 25, 2010
John Alldredge (Texas & Ontario)
As you already know, the Intersection is a SMALL case!

My NB305 Toshiba is an older version with a battery bulge on the bottom but otherwise I think it's about the median size for a 10" netbook.

I can get my netbook and its AC charger into the main compartment and my Microsoft notebook mouse and my little cable lock into the front pocket, just.

Overall, the Intersection case works for me & I'm not looking around for any other to replace it yet. When I do, I might try to find something a bit bigger.

I have a briefcase-style case for my other laptop and it's full of paper, cables, spiral notebooks, pens & office supply-type stuff.

If I were using my netbook as my only business laptop, I'd get a bigger case.

Previous reviewers are right about the great strap. Makes the Intersection easy and safe to carry. Nice in airports, security checks, etc. My Intersection is like the one shown: black fabric, but the zips on mine are red, which I like.

4 out of 5 stars Almost Perfect Netbook Case   March 14, 2010

I looked long and hard before buying a netbook in November of '09. Found a great deal on an HP Mini 110 with a 10.1 LED LCD backlit screen and was thrilled with it. Now the task at hand was to find a case that would protect this little jewel from me slamming it around my truck, since this was going to be my traveling friend when I wanted to do a single task or surf at the local coffee shop to do some tech support for a client.

I didn't want a HUGE bag that cost $100 and weighed 2x the netbook and the Targus 10.2 Intersection was the BEST FIT I could find.

PROS- The "fireman's bag" style of carry is PERFECT for this kind of task. It hugs your body, and you can easily mount and dismount it from your shoulder. The nylon cloth is NOT as beefy as I would like, but it is functional and will definitely last longer than I need/expect. The two zippered pockets work well but are skimpy for more than the netbook in the large one and the power cord in the front one. You could probably put some papers in the rear pocket in a pinch, but forget having a spare USB, RJ-45, Firewire cable of any size with you if needed.

CONS- The biggest con is the minimal protection for the LCD screen. The padding on this is about 1/4 inch in all directions (back of the bag and between the back and front pouches). I flip my netbook's screen side to the REAR so that it is protected from a crushing blow from the power brick/cord that is carried in the front pouch (a better design would be a third narrow pouch from front to back that would not come into play). There needs to be either additional padding to the back or maybe a hardened surface that can better protect the screen. Second con is the rings that connect the strap to the bag. The spring that keeps the round clips closed are wimpy and another reviewer mentioned that they can unexpectedly come unhooked and drop your bag on the ground. I've taped them with ductape until I come across some screw together carabineers to replace them. Third con is limited storage space, but I don't consider that a serious flaw. This is meant to be a light carry bag and I have a full-size Targus if I really want to carry a bunch of crap on a trip.

Overall, I have been pleased with this product EXCEPT for the concern for the safety of LCD screen. Looks WAY COOLER that the little dorky briefcase bags that are sold for netbooks and more protection than the totally worthless "skins" that you will pay as much for. I'll cut a piece of Formica and stick it in the back of the bag for additional protection and go on down the road. 4 STARS! and recommended. Also considered CaseLogic bags. (Video Review SOON!).

4 out of 5 stars 10.2" netbook carry case   February 1, 2010

I travel for a living and use my netbook to keep in touch with my family. I've been using my netbook carry case for about a month now and so far I love it. It has just enough space to carry my mini mouse & charger in the smallest pocket & the netbook in the largest pocket. (I'm not sure a full size mouse would fit in the small pocket and there's definitely no room for document storage)

I love that it has a stiff casing that keeps my netbook from getting damaged so easily. The case only being about 10" wide by 13" long with a nice long strap that crosses over my chest and allows me to be hands free and lets the case lay fairly flat against my side as I walk is perfect. I barely even know it's there. I am headed out to the airport in the morning and I think its going to be fast & easy to remove and re-insert the netbook when going through security.

This item is very well made including the heavy nylon strap with metal clips instead of plastic for attaching the strap to the carry case and metal eyelets on the case itself. This gives me the confidence that I will not drop my netbook due to broken clips or unraveled stitching.

4 out of 5 stars I returned it but only because it didn't fit my needs   January 21, 2010

It's a beautiful case and very durable. Unfortunately I needed it for a netbook and my many netbook accessories, like a mouse, cables and a headset. The case held the netbook fine, but the pocket in the front is too tight to hold anything thicker than some paper.

3 out of 5 stars Not big enough   December 29, 2009

The case is good quality but it's too tight, not room enough for carrying everything (charger, mouse or extra battery). I don't use it anymore because of that. If you only want to carry your netbook this is a good choice, but if you need room for more stuff I really don't recommend it.
