No, this stuff doesn't taste all that grand and no, it doesn't have the best texture. What it does have, is the perfect amount of caffeine. If I need more of a pick me up, I take more - if I just need a little boost, I just take one or two. It really works nicely for me, especially at this price. I am not sure why everyone is so cranky about this stuff (though I understand being annoyed that it isn't fizzy - though I only bought some because someone mentioned it's not). It does what it is supposed to do.

As others have said, this gum:
-is very hard initially, and even after some chewing has poor texture and elasticity
-Flavor is weak at best, and disappears quickly. Doesn't really taste that great to begin with.
-After about 5-10 minutes it tastes bad enough to discard
For energy gum, I'd rather go with Jolt. Chocolate covered espresso beans are also a good alternative.
I've had penguin caffeinated mints in the past, which were quite good, but this product was very disappointing. $5 for 8 containers seemed too good to be true.

The "gum" is as hard as a rock and the taste lasted seriously for only about a minute. Don't waste your money.

I like the flavor initially, including the coating. But it looses taste and texture too fast for me, like withing the first minute. Any extra energy I feel from this gum comes from annoyance that the flavor and texture disintigrate so quickly.

This isn't a Fizzy Cola Gum, it's a Kola Nut Gum. The packaging does NOT say 'Fizzy' only 'Kola Energy Gum'. The copy writer doesn't know what 'Kola Nut' is. But, at $2.99 for eight $2 tins & eligible for FREE Super Saver Shipping on orders over $25 (9 boxes (72-$2 tins ($144 value))= 26.91), it's quite a bargin and does give a minor No-Doz type buzz.
