| Customer Reviews:
Starry Night Pro Plus January 30, 2010 Robert C. Hursch I am very happy with the purchase of Starry Night Pro Plus 6.2. It has been running fine on Windows XP and Vista. I have upodated the version to 6.3 online. The documentation is good and there have been no problems what so ever.
Good program, just can't run on Windows 7 and no support January 24, 2010 D. Chamberlain (Brighton, IL USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have had this product for some time, running fine under XP 32 bit. Sometimes it didn't play well with certain graphics adapters like Nvidia GE-Force 6800. However, once I upgrade to Windows 7 64 bit, this program will not install. Checking their website, it also doesn't appear they support the product any longer. Shame too, because it was the most full featured desktop planetarium software I've seen in some time.
Requires Quicktime April 30, 2009 Willy 2 out of 5 found this review helpful
I received this software with my telescope.
It is well known now that Apple software such as QuickTime and iTunes causes problems on Windows computers. Starry Night requires QuickTime to run. And if that's not bad enough, it doesn't work with the latest version of QuickTime. So you have to live with bugs and security holes just to run this software. Since I use my computer for work, I refuse to install QuickTime or any Apple software because that will cause my system to become unstable.
Fortunately for me, I found that Stellarium and Celestia gives me all I need, they look just as good, and they're completely free. Oh, and they don't need QuickTime. Why would anyone buy this software?
