 Remote control design could be better September 7, 2010

I bought it primarily to control Windows Media Center while watching streaming movies and TV shows. Unfortunately, the main buttons I need for that purpose (play, pause, and arrow keys) do not stand out from all the other buttons. If you've ever used a TiVo, you know what a difference a good remote can make. Also, the I/R distance/power is not great; I have to really aim to hit the I/R receiver.
For the money, this is not a bad product, but you may want to consider spending a bit more for something you'll be happier with.

This product was initially alright, but it broke in less than a week. First off the instructions are hilariously poor. The English is so broken that they almost don't make any sense. The product itself functioned adequately for a time, but it should be noted that the mouse feature is all but useless. It is plug and play no more no less. I can't really comment much further because I only used it a few times before it stopped transmitting a signal.

There's no model number, or manufacturer info on the product. So you don't know how to get help online. The product does a basic job of moving mouse, left and right click and a couple buttons. The main problem with the remote is moving the mouse cursor. When you press up or down buttons, usually the right or left arrow is pressed as well, and you have to learn to touch the circle-shaped key off center to move the cursor vertically, which is still very difficult to do.
This is a less than average product, but for the price it is ok. If you plan to use it regularly don't buy this one. If you use it ocassionaly, then go for it.

Truely
Do not buy this. You might as well throw your money in the garbage. Buttons do randomly whatever they want to, not what they are supposed to do. Often if you press any button it turned of my computer.
