 aweful cd because of aweful singing, nice book with nice illustrations April 25, 2010
If you're asking me...
I thought this would be a great book for my infant. I was even more excited after seeing the book with its handsome illustrations and interesting text, as well as the rhymes, which are traditional yet not trite. I was definitely disappointed however when I played the CD. Neither singers (Bryan Johnson and Nancy Slusser) sound professional - neither can carry a tune, and neither has a strong voice.

All those songs you remember from childhood, but have no clue what the words are beyond the first three. This is a great way to share time with your child, whether simply soothing them with song or having fun and teaching them music.
