Can't go wrong with trucks AND animals! July 27, 2010

My 1 y.o. fell in love with this book instantly. Definitely the first book he showed a preference for. It has great rhythm, wonderful art, and of course trucks and animals! It reads like a classic but is a recently published book. My sons' favorite part is when the big Dump goes "HONK!".

We bought this for our 22-month old son a few months ago and we absolutely love this book. It has a great message and the meter is catchy. It's all about the little blue truck being friendly to everyone he sees and how his friends come help him out when he needs it. We would like to install in our children a sense of comraderie and kindness towards others and this book fits the bill. My son and I read the book together and he's learned all the things the animals say and that the little blue truck says, "BEEP!". We love this book!

My toddler received this book recently as a gift and already has the whole thing memorized. Great rhyming text that I think will become a classic. He is almost 3 and generally is "reading" longer and mature text but this really was a hit. I think that I will start buying this as a "second child" book because it is recently published and probably won't be one that everyone has.

This is by far one of the cutest books we have. It is one of my two year old's favorites. A great, fun story for toddlers about friendship and helping others with silly animals and trucks!

Little Blue Truck is one of the best read-aloud books I have come across lately. My grandson is only 11 months old, and he just loves that book! The illustrations, the theme, the rhythm, and the rhyme (and authentic animal sounds) make it a pleasure we share.
