My almost 2yr old daughter fell in love with this book on the first read. (She immediately said "again!" and made me read it 5 more times). The text is simple and clearly illustrated by the excellent artwork. (My daughter was feeling the the "rainy day" page to if there was texture to the paper).

I read this book several times a week to my 10-month old twin boys. They are always quiet when I read it and enjoy looking at the pictures. I can see them staring at the mirror, or the mouse or the dog. It's a sure way to calm them down before a nap!

This book is repetitive, which is great for my 2 year old. It is somewhat calming in that way. At first i didn't care for this book, I thought it could have been more exciting...but it has grown on me & is a part of our nightly bedtime routine. My son loves the last page when they are outside playing under the rainbow, so if he runs away when i am reading the first part, he always rushes back to see the last page.

I just checked this book out from the library for my 2yr old daughter. She insists I read it at least 3 times a day. I remember it from when I was little and she can't help but crack giggles when we read it. I love this book! I just purchased it tonight so we will have our own copy to read over and over and over ... etc
