Fun read for all ages March 8, 2010 T. Chandler (Phoenix) I ordered this book for my daughter and had completely forgotten the story. I had remembered loving the illustrations as a child and Max's costume. She loves the story and the illustrations as well; and has already began memorizing it which is great for her reading lessons and skills.

Where the Wild Things Are ROCKS! February 23, 2010 I love this book! My Mom and Dad read this book with me almost every night! I love the way Max is on an adventure and meets all of the Wild Things. It is a great story that makes me want to go on an adventure too. I love the colorful Wild Things that the author introduces us to...and I want to meet all of them! The great thing is that my Mom and Dad read this book a lot when they were little! This book rocks and I would recommend it to everyone that wants to read a simple book about a great adventure of one small boy!
great read!!! February 12, 2010 Tamara A. Thomasson (york, sc) my daughter loved this book, as I did as a child!!!!Where the Wild Things Are
A Fun Book That Can Be Used To Teach A Deep Message February 12, 2010 Mark K. Wickersham (Tianjin, China) Where the Wild Things Are was published nearly fifty years ago and won the Caldecott Medal for the Most Distinguished Picture Book of the Year. It has won several other awards, and it is clearly evident why. I remember enjoying Where the Wild Things Are a great deal during my elementary years so I decided to read it to my girls this morning. I have a four year old and a seven year old, and both of them were entertained by the read. They laughed out loud at times and weren't scared in the least bit. Where the Wild Things Are shows a boy named Max misbehaving and then being sent to his room without dinner. While Max is in his room he imagines to sail to a land where the wild things are. Although the wild things have sharp teeth and claws, they are actually pretty cute. Max is crowned king of all wild things, but later imagines to sail back to his room after smelling good things to eat. The story ends with Max's warm and yummy supper waiting for him on a table. Reading this book to your children gives you the opportunity to teach them about obedience, stewardship, love, our choice of words, consequences, our imagination, grace and more. I hope to watch the movie soon.
